Initial entries are sent to the sponsors who choose the top recipes to go through to each of the regional heats. In these live bake-offs, entrants prepare their pizza recipes for judging and each of the six category winners go forward to compete in the final on 16th November in London. 

The final is held at the European Pizza & Pasta Show at Olympia and judged by celebrity chef, Theo Randall and a panel of experts.

The winners of each category and the Overall Pizza Chef of the Year Award winner is announced at the Awards Dinner, on the evening of 16th November. The Overall winner receives a cheque for £500, a trophy, plus considerable publicity. Individual category winners also receive trophies.
