We are delighted to be working with sponsors Keck again for this year's Pasta Chef of the Year competition.

Keck Pasta is produced using the highest quality durum wheat semolina dough and is fully cooked, ready to cook from frozen.Contestants are required to design a pasta dish around each of the two categories using either of the nominated products. Contestants may enter up to two recipes in each categories.

Free samples of the sponsors’ products will be sent to those wishing to enter the competitions, to experiment with and create their pasta dishes.

Entries are required into both categories (up to two in each).

The sponsor’s product must be used in the relevant category, together with other ingredients of the contestant’s choice.

In both categories, chefs must create a unique dish or an inventive interpretation of a classic dish. Judges will be looking to see how the dish showcases the pasta whilst considering commercial viability, overall composition, flavour and appeal. Please note that ‘al forno’ dishes will be very difficult to produce due to time and oven restrictions at the competitions. 

Contestants are required to create a pasta dish for each of the two categories using either of the nominated products:

Short Cut Pasta

  • Penne
  • Conchiglie

Long cut Pasta

  • Spaghetti
  • Pappardelle
